This construction was made with the purpose of understanding how a real speaker works.
First we made a coil by rolling wire around a paper cylinder. The we pasted the coil in one stryfoam dish, and pasted a toroid magnet in another stryfoam dish. Then we put one dish over the other one, and pasted them with sticky tape, as you can see in the picture.
Then, we connected the wire to the output of a sound system, and we could listen to music with our own speaker!
